The Center for Development of the Skopje Planning Region, today held an online session which presented the results of the Regional Community Forums for identification of project proposals for funding through the Balanced Regional Development Program 2021 of the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Bureau for Regional Development (MLS / BRR).

The conference was attended by over 20 participants representing institutions, municipalities, NGOs, the business sector and academia who took part in the Regional Community Forums.

At the session, the moderator, Zaklina Cvetkovska, presented the activities undertaken during the forum process as well as the results of the identification of strategic priorities, problems / needs, prioritization of concept solutions and preparation of project proposals.

Presentation of the project proposals prepared by the external consultant was presented by prof. Svetlana Petrevska. The consultant emphasized the benefits of using the Regional Community Forums, as a new tool for greater civic participation that expresses the needs and priorities of the citizens in the Skopje planning region.

The regional community forums are implemented with the support of the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation within the project “Sustainable and inclusive balanced regional development 2017-2020”.
