On 24/10/2015 Business Center in Skopje planning region in cooperation with the economic operator Gestalt Solutions from Shtip at the Small Conference Hall in Skopje Fair, 1^st floor held the first workshop aimed at micro, small and medium enterprises, municipal officials and related organizations of Skopje planning region – potential cluster members (companies, community organizations, chambers of commerce, banking sector, NGOs, consultancy firms etc.).

The event was opened by employed at the Centre for Development of Skopje Planning Region Mrs. Irene Trostjanska, which on this occasion said:

"Support for the establishment and development of cluster associations is recognized as one of the catalysts of competitiveness and it is a special area of ​​industrial policy. Well developed cluster policy is a powerful tool for enhancing the competitiveness and prosperity of the region. Worldwide experiences show very positive effects of cluster associations for regional economic development and development of certain sectors which are based on collaboration, knowledge sharing, joint building development strategies, export promotion etc. Business Center in Skopje Region will initiate the creation of at least one cluster, it will continue to be registered in the network of regional clusters. "

The workshop was led by Ms. Nikolina Trajanovska, Ministry of Economics inter alia talked about feature of clusters, the benefits of cluster association and significance of clusters in the development of regional economy aimed at making the "Study for the identification and establishment of a cluster of industrial production in Skopje planning region and Action plan for capacity building of members of industrial clusters and establishing functional sustainability of industrial cluster
