On 05.12.2012 at 10:00 hrs a XIX session of the Council for development of Skopje region was held in hotel Kontinental. The session was led by the President of the Council of Skopje region Mr. Sokol Mitrovski. The session was attended by Mr. Goran Angelov, Director at JP Drisla, Mr. Igor Trajkovski, Director of the Department of Environment, Mrs. Anna Karanfilova Maznevski MA, Head of Waste Management department, and Ms. Darinka Jantinska, Deputy head of collaboration and project coordination department of the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning.

At the session, the representative of the Ministry of Environment Mrs. ma Anna Karanfilovska Maznevski presented the new amendments to the Law on waste management at the regional level, ie everything that is in regard of regional waste management and what are the legal obligations of the municipalities and the City of Skopje in accordance with the legislation. At the meeting it was stated that at the one of the previous meetings, a decision was made by the mayors of Skopje region to declare PE Drisla for regional landfill in Skopje Region. . The Head of CDSPR Mrs. Aneta Lozanoska Rawlison presented SECOVIA project which is supported by grant from the EU and IPA fund for R.M, and also emphasized that Development Center of the Skopje Region in partnership with representatives from another 10 EU countries will be implementing this project in the next 2 years. At the session adopted was a draft list of priority projects that CDSPR will apply to Program 2013god MLS / Regional Development Bureau, and also, it was adopted a Financial plan for 2013 Development Center of the Skopje Region.
